Mohammed Kudus has risked potentially annoying West Ham fans with a comment made during his medical at Tottenham.

The Ghanaian attacker’s £55million move to north London was finalised last week, and he is likely to have already wound up some Hammers fans by saying - during his first interview after joining his new club - that he “only wanted Spurs”.

But a new clip has since emerged on social media of Kudus - the first West Ham player to leave for rivals Tottenham since Scott Parker in 2011 - during his medical which will no doubt be a further talking point among his former fans.

In it, Spurs’ club doctor is seen telling Kudus: “I’m just going to listen to your heart, okay?”

With the stethoscope then pressed to his chest underneath a Tottenham top, the player replies: “You’ll find Spurs there.”

“I can hear the cockerel,” the team medic joked in response, referencing Spurs’ badge.

The clip, part of a nine-minute YouTube video released by Spurs on Monday, offers a “behind-the-scenes” look at Kudus’s first day at Hotspur Way.

As well as scenes from his medical, which also show Kudus complimenting the “nice colours” of Spurs’ kit, the full video includes his tour around the training ground and media commitments ahead of the official announcement.

Kudus spent two seasons at West Ham after joining on a five-year contract in August 2023, having previously played for Ajax since 2020.

He managed five goals and three assists in 32 Premier League appearances last season, a dip in form from the eight goals and six assists tallied in 33 top-flight matches during his debut campaign in claret and blue.
