The Leeds United Foundation are pleased to announce that they will be running football coaching sessions alongside The Prince’s Trust, as part of their I Can Lead Award qualification during May.

Aimed at people between the ages of 16 and 30, the programme encourages participation and coaching in sport and physical activity, creating opportunities for young people to enter leadership positions and continue their development.

Participants will learn from industry experts, get invaluable experience and a taste for what it is like to work in football coaching in partnership with the Leeds United Foundation, whilst developing communication and teamwork skills and meeting new people.

The week-long educational programme will focus on leadership and coaching workshops, as well as health and fitness best practices, with participants not required to undertake a formal assessment to complete the qualification.

Successful candidates will then have opportunities to progress and complete their FA Playmaker, FA Level 1, Sports Leaders Level 1 and/or 2 qualifications to continue their coaching development.

The Leeds United Foundation will be holding a Taster Day on Tuesday 21st May, ahead of the course starting on Tuesday 28th May, running until Monday 3rd June. Applications close on Friday 17th May.
