Neil El Aynaoui is set to continue his career in Serie A. On Friday, July 18, RC Lens gave its final approval to AS Roma for the transfer of the Moroccan midfielder for an estimated fee of €23.5 million.

Neil El Aynaoui will indeed leave RC Lens this summer to officially join AS Roma. After several unsuccessful attempts, the Italian club finally persuaded the Lens management with a final offer of €23.5 million, plus €1.5 million in bonuses and a percentage on any potential future profit from a resale.

RC Lens, which had initially planned to keep El Aynaoui for the upcoming season, ultimately gave in to the magnitude of the offer and the financial guarantees provided. Under contract until 2027, the midfielder is now preparing for a new adventure abroad, just two years after joining Les Sang et Or.
