Negotiations on Johan Bakayoko’s Bayer Leverkusen transfer proceeding swiftly | OneFootball

Sacha Tavolieri reports that Belgian winger Johan Bakayoko and Bayer Leverkusen have agreed to terms on a five-year-contract. The Belgian journalist further notes that negotiations between the Bundesliga outfit and PSV Eindhoven are in full swing. A €20m transfer to Leverkusen could be finalized soon.

Leverkusen have been targeting Bakayoko for quite some time, yet only began entering talks with the 22-year-old a few days ago. Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have also been linked with a move for the 18-times-capped international, though few German sources lent the rumors much credence.

Germany’s red company team find themselves in need of a strong presence on the wing to compensate for the departure of Jeremie Frimpong. Another signing for the right attacking flank could also be forthcoming.

It was revealed today that Leverkusen’s needs on the right may even lead to soon-to-be-confirmed signing Farid Alfa-Ruprecht receiving an audition in training camp. The 19-year-old’s transfer from Manchester City is expected to be confirmed shortly.
