Liverpool have announced that defender Nat Phillips has joined Bournemouth on loan for the rest of the season.
The centre-back signed a new long-term contract at Anfield last summer but leaves for the Cherries after struggling for regular playing time.
The Athletic report that Bournemouth are paying a £1.5 million loan fee but must fork over an additional £250,000 if they are promoted.
He has made just three appearances so far this season for the Reds, while the south coast club are also paying the entirety of Phillips’ wages.
It represents Phillips’ second spell on loan away from Merseyside, having previously represented Stuttgart in Germany’s second tier.
