Contrary to reports in Italy, Napoli forward Victor Osimhen (25) is not close to joining Paris Saint-Germain this summer – as things stand – however, the Nigerian international would be open to a move to the Parc des Princes, according to RMC Sport and Foot Mercato.
Il Mattino reported earlier on Thursday that PSG were set to pay Osimhen’s release clause, thought to be worth around €120m. However, RMC Sport report that, contrary to that report, there is currently no agreement in place, with Foot Mercato adding that an agreement is “not close”.
That is not to say that Osimhen, a former Lille OSC forward, will not make a return to Ligue 1. The Nigerian international is interested in the idea of joining Les Parisiens, with PSG reportedly keen to reinforce their attack with Kylian Mbappé set to depart, as per reports in France.
However, Foot Mercato reports that new attackers aren’t the main priority, with both Gonçalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani, both of whom have struggled in their debut season at PSG, set to remain with the Ligue 1 champions.
