The contract renewal scenario involving Fabian Ruiz and Napoli seems to be getting ugly as the Spaniard could remain on the fringes of the squad.

Some days ago, it was reported that a meeting between the Partenopei and the entourage of the midfielder didn’t yield any positive results regarding a potential renewal.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that many at Napoli – apart from Luciano Spalletti, see Fabian to be outside the club’s project as he is not signing a renewal with the club. The two parties are going through quite a ‘cold’ situation due to the lack of contract renewal and as a result, there is a chance that the player could stay on the fringes of the squad next season.

Fabian’s agent has been told by the club that if he doesn’t sign a renewal, he risks being out of the project. Napoli know that Fabian is much more young than the other players that they have lost recently and they could get a good capital gain from his sale.
