Napoli ‘sniffing around’ Ajax’s Kenneth Taylor | OneFootball

Reports have emerged from Voetbal Primeur and La Gazzetto dello Sport, that Napoli are interested in Ajax midfielder Kenneth Taylor.

According to the well-renowned Italian newspaper, Napoli have been sending scouts to Amsterdam to watch Taylor since the start of the current season. Taylor (22) has rediscovered himself and is important to his team with both goals and assists. So far this term, Taylor has scored twice and registered two assists in his eleven Eredivisie appearances so far.

La Gazzetta dello Sport suspects that Ajax wants around twenty million euros. Taylor is said to be aware of the Italian interest, which is not entirely new. In May, De Telegraaf reported that Napoli had come forward. However, a transfer was ‘not negotiable’ for Ajax.

It is not the first time that Napoli have sniffed around in the Eredivisie. Previously, Jerdy Schouten (PSV) and Quinten Timber (Feyenoord) were linked to the 2023 Serie A champions. La Gazzetta’s closing statement? ‘Taylor is ready to make the jump to Italy’. If that is true, it will reportedly not happen until the spring.
