Napoli sign Leander Dendoncker on loan from Aston Villa

Napoli have completed the signing of Leander Dendoncker on loan from Aston Villa for the rest of the season.

The Serie A champions will reportedly have an option to buy the Belgian midfielder for €9m in the summer.

Dendoncker joined Villa from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer of 2022 and made 20 Premier League appearances for the club last season.

But this term the 28-year-old has fallen out of favour under coach Unai Emery, making just one Premier League start.

He becomes Napoli’s fourth signing of the January transfer window, following the arrivals of Hamad Traoré, Pasquale Mazzocchi and Cyril Ngonge.
