Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez is in advanced talks to join Roma as a free agent.
Over the last few days, Nandez has been pushing for a move to Roma as his contract with Cagliari nears its expiry date.
The player’s entourage, writes Leggo, have been in steady contact with the Giallorossi and are currently negotiating a three-year deal worth a little over €2 million in wages.
The newspaper adds that Nandez was a specific request made by Daniele De Rossi: the two shared a brief time together as teammates at Boca Juniors prior to Nandez’s move to Sardinia.
In De Rossi’s eyes, Nandez is the ideal box-to-box midfielder to replace Renato Sanches whose disappointing loan spell is winding to an end, with the Portuguese set to return to PSG.
Ideally, Roma and Nandez’s entourage would to finalize an agreement before the start of Copa America.
