After 10 years at Heidenheim, Kevin Müller's time at the club could come to an end when his contract expires in the summer.

Sky Germany has reported that an extension of the 33-year-old goalkeeper's expiring contract is currently not in sight.

And speaking to the German media outlet, Müller admits it's a dream of his to play outside of Germany.

"I have never made a secret of the fact that my dream has always been to play abroad. England or the United States would always be nice. We'll just have to see how I develop over the next few weeks and months," Müller told Sky Germany.

At the same time, he isn't ruling out the possibility of extending his contract with Heidenheim.

"We had our first talks in the summer. Both sides signalled quite clearly that they could see themselves continuing to work together. So far, there has been no further development that would bring us closer to an extension. That's the status quo at the moment," said Müller.

“I completely identify with the club. We've settled down very well here. My wife is doing very well here, as is my son. We know exactly what we have at the club. At this point I would like to reiterate that a contract extension in Heidenheim is still possible. I can still imagine that.”
