With Zlatan Ibrahimovic having to pull out of the tournament through injury, Sweden’s goalscoring hopes were plumped on the shoulders of Alexander Isak.

The rangy forward has enjoyed a brilliant season in Spain with Real Sociedad and he’s brought that form into the Euros.

Against Spain earlier this week Isak was the one willing runner in an otherwise stodgy Sweden attack. And it was very much a similar story here against Slovakia.

Always happy to run in behind, always using his considerable physique to help keep the ball and often doing things on his own without support from others – at times this really was the Isak Show.

And it was a moment of genius from him that ultimately led to the goal.

A clever flick into Robin Quaison’s path saw the substitute race into the area and get fouled by goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.

Emil Forsberg scored the penalty and got the spoils, but this win really belonged to Isak.
