According to a new report from Radioestadio, Rodrygo’s 2024/25 season with Real Madrid has come to an end, after the Brazilian forward walked off the training pitch accompanied by a club medic.
The forward, who has barely featured in recent weeks, is now set to miss the upcoming clash against Mallorca and will also be unavailable for the remaining La Liga fixtures.
The report adds more detail to what had been an increasingly tense and confusing situation surrounding Rodrygo. In the final minutes of the training session, the 24-year-old walked off with a serious expression, eyes cast downward, and did not return.
This follows a prolonged absence from match action, as Rodrygo has not set foot on the pitch for 255 minutes, dating back to his last appearance in the Copa del Rey Clasico.
As it turns out, Rodrygo was left out of key fixtures against Celta Vigo and Barcelona, with head coach Carlo Ancelotti citing physical discomfort, including a fever that was supposedly resolved.
However, Rodrygo did not even warm up in those matches, prompting speculation from the media. Some outlets even suggested that the Brazilian had no desire to play under the current coaching staff, hinting at a deeper fallout within the dressing room.
While new reports now confirms that his issue appears to be genuinely physical, the lack of clarity and communication from the club has only added fuel to growing rumours of discontent and a possible exit in the summer.
It is worth noting that Rodrygo has struggled for prominence in recent weeks. Now, with Ancelotti set to depart and Xabi Alonso likely to take over at the Bernabeu, the forward’s future remains highly uncertain.
Rodrygo, once viewed as a central piece of Real Madrid’s long-term project, now appears to be sliding out of the picture altogether.
Whether this injury is a temporary setback or a symbolic end to his Madrid chapter, the next few weeks will be crucial in defining his trajectory. For now, though, his season is over, and so might be his time in white.
