Montpellier HSC have hit their stride at exactly the right time with a five-game unbeaten streak lifting them out of the reach of the bottom three. La Paillade are not quite mathematically safe from the threat of relegation but it now appears extremely unlikely that Michel Der Zakarian’s side will be pulled into the mire.
Lucas Ferri comes in for the suspended Aranud Nordin who picked up a red card in the last game against FC Nantes, in a move that suggests that Der Zakarian will be shifting towards a wingerless formation as he instead consolidates the midfield with an extra body.
In defence, two changes, as Lucas Mincarelli like Nordin received a red against Nantes, meaning Issiaga Sylla comes in as a like-for-like swap for the fullback. In the centre of defence, Christopher Jullien drops to the bench for Boubakar Kouyaté. The final change coming in goal as the injured Benjamin Lecomte will be replaced by Dimitry Bertaud.
