Monday Marker: Your guide to City’s week ahead

It’s another hugely busy week for City – with our men’s, Under-18s and women’s teams in action across four competitions.

There’s plenty to keep across – check out all the information you need below.

Monday

Belgium v France | UEFA Nations League | 19:45 (UK)

Jeremy Doku is in action for Belgum on Monday as the Red Devils host France in a 19:45 (UK) kick-off at King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels.

After three games played, League A Group 2 sees Italy top with seven points, France second with six, Belgium third with four and Israel fourth without registering a point.

Didier Deschamps’ men won the corresponding game at Parc Olympique Lyonnais 2-0 courtesy of goals from Randal Kolo Muani and Ousmane Dembele.

Tuesday

There’s an early morning press conference on Tuesday to preview our Matchday Two in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Gareth Taylor and a member of his first team squad will meet journalists at a media briefing at the CFA from 09:15 (UK) ahead of our UWCL clash in St Polten on Wednesday.

The head coach will provide all the latest team news updates while the player will also offer pre-match thoughts as we continue the European campaign which began with a bang at the Joie Stadium against Barcelona.

We’ll have a written review and video recap soon after it has concluded.

That will be followed by an open training session for the women’s team which you’ll be able to watch live across our channels.

In the evening, we have Mateo Kovacic, Josko Gvardiol, Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias and Manuel Akanji all set for action.

Kovacic and Gvardiol are with Croatia as they travel to Poland for a 19:45 (UK) kick-off at Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw.

Elsewhere in League A Group 1, Bernardo and Dias take on Scotland at Hamden Park in Glasgow in another 19:45 (UK) start.

Portugal are top with nine points with Croatia in second with six points followed by Poland on three points and Scotland at the foot with no points. All teams have played three games.

Akanji’s Switzerland host Denmark at Kybunpark in St Gallen.

They’re in urgent need of points as they find themselves bottom of League A Group 1 after three matches, having lost away to the Danes 2-0 and 4-1 at home and 1-0 away to Spain.

James McAtee will hope to lead England Under-21s to automatic qualification to the 2025 European Championships on Tuesday after his heroics on Friday.

Trailing heading into the latter stages against Group F leaders Ukraine, England triumphed thanks to McAtee’s late brace, levelling in the 88th minute before striking a winner on 90 + 2.

That vital victory leaves the second-placed Three Lions now just two points behind Ukraine with one match remaining - against Azerbaijan on Tuesday.

If they do overtake Ukraine, who travel to third place Serbia, and top the standings they will progress to the finals in Slovakia.

If they finish second they will look to qualify as one of the three best runners-up.

Wednesday

Brazil v Peru | CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifiers | 01:45St Polten v City | UEFA Women’s Champions League | 17:45 (UK)

Brazil, featuring Ederson and Savinho, host Peru in World Cup qualifying on Wednesday.

The game, at Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha in Brasilia, kicks off at 01:45 (UK).

The top six sides from a ten-team league go through automatically to the 2026 tournament and Brazil find themselves in sixth spot currently while Peru are in ninth.

Taylor’s side travel to Austria to face St Polten on Matchday Two of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Our opponents lost 2-0 at Hammarby in their first game so Celia Brancao’s side will be in determined mood in this one as we look to back up our brilliant Barcelona win with another triumph.

Friday

Pep Guardiola will meet the media as City return to action after the October international break.

The boss will look ahead to our trip to Molineux as he runs the rule over the clash with Gary O’Neil’s side.

He will face the press at 12:30 (UK) and you can watch the briefing live on mancity.com and our official app, followed by a full video recap soon after it’s finished.

Later in the day, at 14:30 (UK), Gareth Taylor will preview his team’s home clash with Aston Villa and you can again, like the earlier briefing, watch it live across our channels.

Saturday

City v Blackburn | Under-18 Premier League | 11:30 (UK)

Oliver Reiss’s team are in scintillating form – and you can watch their latest game live on CITY+!

Our Under-18s are fourth in the table and have won the last four game across all competitions.

They beat Everton away 4-0, Nottingham Forest 6-0 at home and Sunderland 5-2 away in the Under-18 Premier League and, most recently, Brighton 4-1 here at the CFA in the Premier League Under-18 Cup.

The match against Blackburn starts at 11:30 (UK) and you can watch all the action as a subscriber to CITY+.

We will follow that up with a match report and video reaction and then highlights as well as a CITY+ full-match replay if you missed it the first time around.

Sunday

City v Aston Villa | Barclays Women’s Super League | 12:15 (UK)Wolves v City | Premier League | 14:00 (UK)

Gareth Taylor will look to mastermind another positive result this weekend as we host Aston Villa at the Joie Stadium.

The match will be shown live in the UK on BBC Two, BBC Sport Web and BBC iPlayer. Viewers around the world can find out how to watch via these TV listings, courtesy of LiveSoccerTV.

The key moments of the action can also be followed via our Matchday Centre or over on our X account @ManCityWomen, while a comprehensive match report and reaction will follow soon after the final whistle.

Highlights, as well as a CITY+ full-match replay, can also be accessed from midday on Monday.

Pep Guardiola’s men travel to the West Midlands on Sunday as the Premier League returns.

It was not a happy hunting ground last time around as we went down 2-1 so the manager will be looking for a much better result this weekend.

Our Matchday Live show features Mick McCarthy and Keith Curle.

McCarthy played for City and managed Wolves while Curle, a former City captain, played for both.

They’ll be joined by presenter Chris Latchem while Natalie Pike and Michael Brown will be at Molineux to set the scene, with Brown also joining Alistair Mann for live radio commentary.
