As reported exclusively by Get French Football News, talks between AS Monaco and FC Twente over a loan move for Myron Boadu (23) had broken down. However, as reported by RMC Sport and confirmed by GFFN, the Dutch striker is now set for a return to the Eredivisie after Twente agreed to Monaco’s terms.

Twente were initially unwilling to pay Boadu’s salary over the course of the loan deal, whilst the Principality club had received other offers that were more in line with Monaco’s expectations. However, former AZ Alkmaar forward Boadu rejected those offers. Sevilla had previously shown interest in Boadu, as had an unnamed Ligue 1 club.

Boadu had looked like remaining at Monaco until the end of the season, but Twente returned on transfer deadline day and aligned with the Principality club’s demands. The Eredivisie side will therefore cover Boadu’s salary, whilst also paying a loan fee for the striker.
