André Onana
AS Monaco is not done pursuing Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana. Facing a goalkeeper dilemma, the French club has set a specific condition to secure the Manchester United player's services.
AS Monaco has already made headlines this summer by signing Paul Pogba and Ansu Fati. However, the goalkeeper issue remains unresolved. According to the Daily Mail, the André Onana file is still very much on the desks of the Monaco decision-makers. The sticking point is the €35 million price tag set by Manchester United's management.
Still, Monaco's interest in recruiting André Onana is not off the table, as clarified by Chris Wheeler, the English journalist following this case for the Daily Mail. While the Cameroonian comes off a difficult season with Manchester United, the Ligue 1 club believes Onana can return to his best form. However, Monaco is adamant they will not pay the €35 million demanded by Manchester United, and they have informed the Red Devils they would be willing to resume negotiations once the asking price becomes more reasonable.
Time could be on Monaco's side, as Ruben Amorim has made signing a new goalkeeper his top priority, and the Red Devils are no longer keen on keeping André Onana.
