Last weekend, AS Monaco began their 2024/25 campaign by hosting newly promoted AS Saint-Étienne. The Principality secured all three points thanks to a lone goal from Takumi Minamino and a few tight offside calls.
Adi Hütter will be hoping for a more commanding scoreline as his side travel to face Olympique Lyonnais this afternoon. However, the manager will once again be unable to call upon his first-choice goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki, nor his midfielders Krépin Diatta and Aleksandr Golovin after they all picked up injuries ahead of the new season.
Wilfried Singo represents the one change from last weekend’s 4-4-2 with the centre-back returning to the starting line-up following the end of his suspension. Ismail Jakobs keeps his place ahead of Caio Henrique at left-back, while Folarin Balogun and Breel Embolo are chosen again to lead the attack.
