Adi Hütter will have to cobble together a makeshift side as AS Monaco head to face Benfica in Lisbon with the aim of overturning a one-goal deficit and advancing to the next round of the UEFA Champions League.

The problems for Monaco lie in midfield. Hütter is without captain Denis Zakaria and Moatasem Al-Musrati due to suspension, Soungoutou Magassa suffered a facial fracture during the first leg and Aleksandr Golovin, capable of filling in, is out for several weeks with an adductor injury.

It means that Lamine Camara, only just returning from injury himself, is the only recognisable and regular first-team midfielder that is available to Hütter. There is also a question at right-back. Vanderson is suspended and Jordan Teze is injured. There is hope that Wilfried Singo will be fit to make his return from injury, alternatively, Krépin Diatta could fill in.
