Ángel Di María has been ruled out of Benfica’s return leg in the UEFA Champions League against AS Monaco. The Argentine forward was rushed back from injury to participate in the latter stages of the first leg and suffered a hamstring injury that means that he will play no part this evening.

Benfica are also without Alexander Bah and Manu Silva, both of whom suffered season-ending ACL injuries just before the first leg in Monaco. Forward Tiago Gouveia is also injured, whilst Renato Sanches, on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, also remains sidelined. Florentino Luis, meanwhile, is suspended and so will not face his former side.
