Monaco and Lyon among clubs interested in Sékou Mara

Foot Mercato report this evening that a host of Ligue 1 clubs are interested in young Bordeaux striker Sékou Mara, who had a promising campaign despite his team’s relegation to the second tier.

The 19-year-old scored 6 goals, including 5 in the club’s last 7 fixtures. The French youth international is under contract until 2025, and has indicated that he does not want to leave the club for now. Director of sport Admar Lopes is looking to make him one of the key men in Bordeaux’s upcoming promotion push.
