Liverpool have revealed details of the club’s plans for permanent tributes to Diogo Jota and Andre Silva.
Jota and his brother Andre lost their lives in a tragic car accident earlier this month. Liverpool have already announced that Jota’s number 20 shirt will be retired in his honour, with the Premier League champions now revealing further tributes.

The thousands of floral and decorative tributes laid in recent weeks will be used as part of the memorial.
In a club statement, Liverpool have said: “Floral tributes will be composted and used in flower beds across all club sites, including Anfield, the AXA Training Centre and AXA Melwood Training Centre.
“The remaining artefacts will be recycled by a specialist company and used to help create a permanent memorial sculpture that will become a future focal point of remembrance at Anfield.”
Liverpool have also confirmed that a ‘Forever 20’ emblem will be printed into their shirts and stadium jackets. It will remain in place for the season.
Fans are also able to have ‘Diogo J. 20’ printed on shirts for the upcoming campaign, of which all proceeds will go to LFC Foundation, the club’s official charity. The Foundation will create a grassroots football programme in Jota’s name.
A special fan mosaic and minute’s silence have also been planned for the club’s first game of the Premier League season. Liverpool host Bournemouth at Anfield in their season opener on August 15th. Further details of that tribute are due to follow in the coming weeks.
