Mohamed Salah made his first Premier League start for Liverpool since New Year’s Day when they hosted Brighton at Anfield on Sunday.

And after the Reds fell behind to an early Danny Welbeck goal, they soon came roaring back with a Luis Díaz equaliser before half-time.

Salah then got in on the act in the second half, latching onto a superb pass from Alexis Mac Allister before firing in his 16th Premier League goal of the season for 2-1.

With nine Premier League assists to his name this term too, the Egyptian has now racked up 25 goal contributions in the competition for the seventh season, which puts him alongside Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and England great Alan Shearer.

Salah also has now scored more goals against Brighton than any other opponent, but having taken the most shots in a Premier League match (12) in his career on Sunday, he’ll perhaps be disappointed he only scored once.
