Toulouse President Damien Comolli has been linked with a move to join Milan as CEO in the near future and the former Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool director has an impressive track record of identifying big-name signings at an early age.

After leaving Monaco in the mid-1990s, Comolli teamed up with Arsene Wenger as a European Scout for Arsenal.

While at Highbury, he was responsible for signing the likes of eventual Premier League winners Gael Clichy and Kolo Toure, as well as long-term servant Emmanuel Eboue. All of them were aged under 21 at the time of their signings.

In 2005, after being appointed as director of football at Tottenham, Comolli was responsible for the signing of future Ballon d’Or winner Luka Modric from Dinamo Zagreb.

Among his other Tottenham signings were eventual Premier League winner Dimitar Berbatov, as well as the likes of David Bentley, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Heurelho Gomes, Vedran Corluka and Roman Pavyluchenko.

After a brief and largely unsuccessful spell with Saint-Etienne, Comolli returned to England as director of football strategy for Liverpool.

Just over six months into his time at Anfield, Comolli signed both Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll on deadline day of the January transfer window in 2011.

He also signed future Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson from his boyhood club, Sunderland, and also bolstered Liverpool’s ranks with the additions of Jose Enrique, Seb Coates, Stewart Downing and Craig Bellamy.
