With the future of Colombian Luis Diaz still uncertain at Liverpool, the Reds are keen to secure a potential replacement should the Colombian striker leave this summer, with interest from La Liga champions Barcelona, following the unfortunate death of Portuguese forward Diego Jota. Liverpool will have to reinforce its attacking ranks with names that can carry this heavy responsibility in the Dutchman's team.

Which name will the two mega clubs compete for?

Arsenal are Liverpool's biggest rivals for the next name that is expected to be the centrepiece of the rivalry between the two English giants. It is expected to be Real Madrid star Rodrygo, who wants to live a new experience away from the walls of the white team after achieving everything possible with them.

Rodrigo's status at Real Madrid is unclear under Xabi Alonso's new leadership at the moment, and just as his appearances for Real Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti were few and far between, the Brazilian star looks set to struggle to get a chance with the Spaniard. Sacha Tavolieri has revealed that Liverpool, meanwhile, are keeping a close eye on the player's situation and are enquiring about the possibility of bringing him to Anfield as well.

The Brazilian's future at Real Madrid is unclear at the moment, so Liverpool know that competition for the player will increase in the next few weeks, with several clubs including Arsenal also entering the fray.
