Mohamed Salah and Harvey Elliott were both on the scoresheet as Liverpool hit Rangers for seven on Wednesday evening.
Liverpool went into the match in poor form and it looked like their struggles could continue when they fell behind early on.
Scott Arfield strode forward and his effort from just outside the box found its way past Alisson Becker and into the net.
Liverpool responded well, though, and levelled proceedings shortly after through Roberto Firmino.
The score was level going into half-time but Liverpool well and truly ran away with it in the second half.
Firmino gave Liverpool the lead 10 minutes after half-time, before setting up Darwin Nunez for Liverpool's third.
Salah was introduced in the 68th minute and scored an incredible six minute hat-trick, before Elliott put the cherry on the cake for Liverpool by scoring their seventh with three minutes remaining.
The ball fell to Elliott at the back post and he made no mistake as he volleyed his effort home.
Elliott was made to undergo a nervy wait to see if his first Champions League goal was allowed to stand.
VAR got involved to see if there was an offside in the build up to the goal.
The camera panned to Elliott and Salah as the goal was being checked and it made for a wholesome moment.
Salah could be seen embracing Elliott as the youngster had his fingers crossed praying that the goal would be given.
And Elliott's relief was clear to see as he celebrated his goal being confirmed.
Salah, meanwhile, could not have been happier that Elliott's goal was allowed to stand.
Liverpool are now on the verge of qualifying for the knockout rounds.
They are currently in second in Group A having picked up nine points from their opening four games.
The Reds are three points behind Napoli in first and six points clear of Ajax in third.
A point against Ajax in their next Champions League game on October 26 will see them progress to the last 16.
