AC Milan have held talks with Real Madrid over the permanent signing of Alex Jimenez and believe that they can get a deal done, a report claims.

According to the latest from MilanNews, Milan believe that Jimenez could be ‘one of the club’s main assets for the coming years’ after he arrived from Real Madrid last summer on an initial loan deal and impressed everyone.

The Spaniard has already made a lot of people talk about him because the quality and personality he has shown at the age of just 18. In his five senior appearances he has shown his speed, technique, determination and work in both phases.

Real Madrid knew that they were letting a talent go wanted to maintain control of him, which is why there is a buy-back in the deal in favour of Florentino Perez’s club, with whom he has a contract until 2025.

The situation, however, is destined to change soon, because Milan want to sign him permanently. MilanNews relay the report from Sky who claim that the management have reached an agreement with Real Madrid to buy him at a slightly lower figure than the €5m option to buy, but with more bonuses.

The possibility remains for Real Madrid to exercise a buy-back but it is at a much higher figure than the one agreed last summer (around €10m). Everything will most likely happen after Easter as a meeting with his agent is scheduled.
