Late Thursday night, Barcelona confirmed an agreement to send Miralem Pjanić to Turkish Süper Lig side on a season-long loan.
After failing to send Pjanić anywhere in Europe’s top-five league before the end of their transfer window, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international has found a home in Turkey.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Beşiktaş will pay €2.7m of Pjanić’s wages, a far cry from covering the total of his rumoured €8m annual salary.
Since joining from Juventus, Pjanić has yet to live up to the billing at Barcelona, making just 30 appearances for the Blaugrana while falling down the pecking order under Ronald Koeman.
