Mirabelli says AC Milan must renew Calhanoglu contract

Former AC Milan director Massimiliano Mirabelli says they must renew the contract of Hakan Calhanoglu.

The midfielder's deal expires in June and his agent is offering him to clubs across Europe, including Manchester United and Juventus.

But Mirabelli told TMW: "When I brought Calhanoglu to Milan he was a player who had suffered a long disqualification for a double registration when he was a minor, he arrived with a few extra pounds.

"Being a Turkish-German it took time to make him acclimatise to Italian habits, and I tell you that he has even greater potential than what he is showing.

"He must renew, because he is Milan's number 10, and he is doing well. I am pleased to see 50% of my work in this Milan."
