International reports have said that the Lions have won the race to buy the forward.
Millwall have reached an agreement with Hammarby IF to sign Jusef Erabi.
Attacking cover has been found as the Lions are now on track to secure the signing of 22-year-old centre-forward Jusef Erabi.
According to Swedish outlet Fotbolldirekt, the Lions have agreed on terms that will see the Swedish youth international move to The Den, following links between the player and the club.
Erabi had been removed from training as a departure from his current side moved closer and closer. Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this week that Millwall were in a race with Belgian side Genk to sign the goalscorer, a race that they now appear to have won.
Romano added in his report that both Alex Neil's side and their Belgian competitors had put forward €5 million (~ £4.3 million) proposals to Hammarby for their centre-forward. There has been no indication that Millwall have gone any higher than that fee in order to get the deal done. The choice was up to the player and he has elected to move to Bermondsey.
Erabi has come through the Swedish club's academy system and into their first-team. The son of former Afghanistan international Wahid Erabi, he has followed in his father's footsteps by becoming a professional footballer.
The six-footer has netted 29 goals in 99 appearances across all competitions for Hammarby, at a rough rate of a goal just less than every three games.
His arrival comes amid interest in Millwall's current first-choice striker, Mihailo Ivanovic. As per Alan Nixon, Italian side Parma have submitted a £6 million offer for the 20-year-old Serbian forward, who is yet to get off the mark for the Lions this season.
Other clubs remain keen on him, and, while they would like to get a bigger reward for any sale of Ivanovic, the Championship side is under some pressure to hold onto him until after Monday's 7pm transfer deadline.
A bit like Ivanovic before he made his £2.8 million move to The Den last summer, Erabi's record so far in his career is not dazzling. By the basic counting stats, he doesn't initially appear to be a multi-million-pound talent.
The convincing factor is Millwall's interest. They have hit on a lot of these moves recently and, as a result, have made a lot of profit from selling players in recent windows. Ivanovic could be the next of those to go for a decent profit. After that, there's every chance that Erabi could end up being a similar story.
