Mile Svilar is a man on a mission as he will play his chances to become Roma’s starting goal-keeper in the club’s long-term project.

The Serbian 24-year-old shot-stopper was recently Roma’s hero in the victorious penalty shoot-out with Feyenoord. His two key saves gave Roma the advantage and enabled them to advance to the next round.

According to Il Messaggero, Roma will be closely monitoring Svilar’s developments across these last few months of the season: the ex-Benfica man is expected to continue to start ahead of Rui Patricio.

Svilar wants to confirm his place at the club, especially given that he has still three years remaining on his current deal with the Giallorossi.

If his performances continue to follow the latest trend, Roma could give him the keys to the team for the foreseeable future.
