Serie A side Milan are plotting January transfer moves for Real Betis’ Juan Miranda and Lille’s Jonathan David.
According to a report by Daniele Longo, Milan’s chief scout Geoffrey Moncada and sporting director Antonio D’Ottavio are searching for options in the market to fix the problems that have been haunting the team recently.
There is a lack of significant talent to substitute Theo Hernandez and therefore, eyes have been set on Real Betis left-back Juan Miranda. The 23-year-old’s contract expires with the Andalucian club in July next year and the Rossoneri are ready to offer a proposal of around €3-€4 million during the winter transfer window.
With the 3-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in their last Champions League outing, Stefano Pioli’s men became the only Italian team to be without a goal after playing three group-stage matches in the tournament. Milan have faced serious goalscoring problems this season and while they have quality players in creating chances, there are no able finishers. Lille’s Jonathan David has been linked with the Milanese club since last summer and January might be the month during which the club sends an official offer to the Ligue 1 side for the forward.
While the move for Miranda might be accomplished without any problems, the transfer negotiations for the Canadian Jonathan David will be a big money one as the French club are reluctant to let their star man leave so soon.
