AC Milan’s Primavera side were unable to bounce back after their midweek defeat as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Juventus on Sunday.

Thee Primavera’s hope of reaching the play-off stages of the UEFA Youth League were ended as they were beaten 3-1 at home by Red Star on Tuesday, so attention shifted back to league action.

However, Juventus took the lead in the 11th minute with what was the first real chance of the game. Pugno got one-on-one with Colzani and scored with a precise diagonal shot.

Just before the hour mark Milan got themselves back level and the goal came from Emanuele Sala. He was in the right place at the right time to tap home a rebound from a loose ball inside the box.

With 79 minutes on the clock, the Bianconeri got their winning goal through Di Biase. Colzani stopped a header initially but in doing so the rebound fell straight to the Juventus man who fired in from close range.

The head coach Federico Guidi was visibly angry at the slowness with which his team managed the build-up phase, and they were unable to ultimately generate any late danger.
