Miguel Herrera reveals 'mixed feelings' ahead of América return | OneFootball

The match between América and Tigres will be one of the most interesting on Matchday 15 of the 2021 Apertura tournament as it marks the return of Miguel Herrera to the Estadio Azteca.

Of course, this will be the first time Herrera graces the Azteca since he left the club in December 2020 due to the poor results in both the Liguilla and the Concacaf Champions League.

On Thursday, in an interview with W Deportes, Herrera admitted he has mixed feelings coming back to the club which he gave so many titles.

“Yes, I have mixed feelings. América is a club that gave me everything.

“But today, I owe myself to another club. I will assimilate how people receive me, I will always be grateful. I carry the fans of América in my heart.”

There will be a lot on the line during this contest as América would clinch a place in the Liguilla quarter-finals with a win, while Tigres are in third place and are desperate to earn all three points.
