Metz make attempt to sign Amiens’ Gaël Kakuta | OneFootball

According to Foot Mercato, FC Metz are making an attempt to sign SC Amiens winger Gaël Kakuta (32), although a move may prove difficult.

Journeyman Kakuta, who has had spells in the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Eredivisie, the Chinese Super League and now Ligue 2, joined Amiens from RC Lens in 2022. This season, the former Chelsea winger has been influential at the club, scoring four goals in 16 matches.

His form has caught the attention of Metz, who have performed well since returning to Ligue 1 this season. Les Grenats are already engaged in an attempt to bring Kakuta to the club, however, according to Foot Mercato, a move could prove hard to pull off as it will be difficult to satisfy all parties financially.

Metz have already completed the signing of Georges Mikautadze this month. The Georgian international left to join Ajax in the summer, but has returned on loan in a deal that includes a purchase option.
