Lionel Messi is off to Inter Miami, but the soon-to-be former Paris Saint-Germain star, whose contract expires on June 30, won’t be heading to South Florida alone.

TyC Sports’ César Luis Merlo reported on Tuesday that one current and former PSG player could be on their way to MLS to help Messi adapt to Miami.

The first is Leandro Paredes, who will return to PSG on July 1 once his loan deal with Juventus expires on June 30. The Argentine midfielder was teammates with Messi, the French giants, and the Argentina national team.

Paredes has one more year left on his contract and doesn’t feature in the plans for the capital club, so PSG might not play hardball to facilitate a transfer and get his wages off the books.

Meanwhile, the other player that could join Messi with PSG links is Angel Di María, who will be a free agent on June 30 as Juventus will not be keeping the veteran winger.

As a result, Inter Miami could have an influx of PSG connections this summer along with their co-owner David Beckham who played for the French giants.
