Bayern boss slams Donnarumma’s challenge after Musiala injury: "He showed no consideration" | OneFootball

Jamal Musiala sustained what appears to be a serious injury just before half-time during Bayern’s 0-2 quarter-final loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup on Saturday after a challenge from goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The look on the Italian Donnarumma's face immediately after the incident said it all, clearly revealing that he realized the situation was serious.

Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl commented on the incident after the match, saying that while he was convinced Donnarumma did not act intentionally, he could have been more careful.

“If I sprint and jump onto someone’s shin weighing 100 kilos, there’s a high risk that something will happen," Eberl said in the mixed zone, according to Sky Germany.

"I absolutely don’t think he did it on purpose, but he also showed no consideration.”

Musiala was stretchered off and taken straight to the hospital, with Bayern now awaiting a clear diagnosis.
