Gabriel Osho is packing his bags for England. Just a year after his arrival, the Nigerian defender is leaving Auxerre to sign with Cardiff City.

L4AJ Auxerre officially announced the departure of their defender to Cardiff City with a post on their official X account. "Arriving in the summer of 2024, Gabriel Osho is leaving AJA and has signed with Cardiff City FC, in League One (the third tier of English football). The entire club wishes him all the best in this new chapter of his career," the statement read.

A departure confirmed despite a contract running until June 2027. Having arrived last summer from Luton, the 27-year-old played 23 matches for AJA (scoring once), including the first two rounds of Ligue 1 this season.

The Nigerian international (2 caps) has opted for a homecoming, having been born in Reading and spent his entire career across the Channel.
