Mendes visited Fati family without making contact with Barcelona | OneFootball

Barcelona are keen to schedule more contract talks with Ansu Fati.

Sport says agent Jorge Mendes was in Barcelona last week. His visit was seen as a way of progressing the deal but it's now emerging that this was not the case. He visited Ansu's family, where the player's situation was discussed. However, after that, he left Barcelona.

Mendes, who took charge of Fati's affairs last year, is managing the situation and for now the two parties are far from an agreement. However the player's priority is to stay with Barcelona and for the moment no other option is being considered.

Fati is now focused on his playing return, just as he showed against Valencia, and is happy leaving his renewal in Mendes's hands.

Barcelona are in a hurry to reach an agreement, but it won't be done before the El Clasico against Real Madrid. They also host Champions League opponents Dinamo Kiev on Wednesday. The next good chance to hold talks with Mendes is the international break in November.
