Memphis Depay makes clear his Barcelona plans

Memphis Depay insists he wants to stay with Barcelona.

With a deal to 2023, it's been suggested the striker will be sold this summer.

But Depay said: "I came here with the desire to play for the team, of course without a doubt, I want to be important in the team for next year and for several years."

After victory over Mallorca, Barca coach Xavi also said: "The future has not been discussed. It is present. Memphis has played because he trains very well. Another player would have given up, he has had a fantastic week and that is why he is starting.

"He is capable of making a difference, he has a goal, he goes behind the defence... he has played a great game. If he performs like this he must participate, he must play."
