Although not yet official, Mattias Svanberg (23) has completed a medical with Wolfsburg ahead of joining the Bundesliga club from Bologna for a reported €9m, according to Kicker.
The Sweden international will sign a five-year contract and arrive as a replacement for Xaver Schlager, who joined fellow Bundesliga side RB Leipzig last month for €12m.

Wolfsburg fought off competition from the Premier League, Napoli and Marseille to sign Svanberg, who fits Niko Kovac’s policy to work with young players.
Svanberg will become the sixth player to join Wolfsburg this summer after Dzenan Pejcinovic, Jakub Kaminski, Patrick Wimmer, Kilian Fischer and Bartol Franjic.
The 23-year-old made Get Italian Football News‘ U23 Team of the Season: “Even though there is a lot that Svanberg can furnish in his game, the Swede has shown a wide range of abilities on the pitch – pretty much suiting how Mihajlovic wants his teams to have different shapes in different phases of play.
