Matías Almeyda was officially let go from the San Jose Earthquakes on Monday, prompting rumours of a potential return.
However, a phenomenal comeback is unlikely to happen.
According to Récord, Chivas do not want to bring him back after his unconvincing displays in MLS, along with his antics that did not settle well with American audiences.
Récord also claims that Almeyda is demanding 100 tickets to each home match, even though he only brings about 20 friends and family to each match and hands the rest out to the Barras. In return, he asks that they sing his name.
In addition, TUDN claim that Almeyda has an offer from the Chilean National Team, who just failed to make the 2022 World Cup.
Reports out of Greece also state that he’s set to meet with the leadership of AEK Athens to discuss a potential management role.
Almeyda is reportedly set to land in Greece in the next 24 hours, however, reports are very clear that no agreement has been made.
