Carly Williams’ side return to Bedfont Sports Club, a ground in which they did not lose a league game on last term, to host Newhaven on Sunday afternoon.
Maddie Phillips, a lifelong Brentford fan, was made captain by Williams following the win at Aylesford.
The full-back who scored 13 times last season said: “It’s a really nice feeling to have that recognition from Carly coming in as a new head coach, and the votes from the players are obviously really nice to have."
"It obviously means a lot more to me being a Brentford fan and wanting to play for the club. To be able to lead the club means a lot to me."
New signing 16-year-old Asees Sangha scored the only goal of the game to ensure that Williams’ side left with three points and a clean sheet.
Speaking after the win, Williams stated: “Three points on the board in tier five was our first priority. I’m really proud of the girls, I haven’t had long with them but we saw some bits of how we want to put our stamp on the game.
“I thought we were dominant but we could have put some more chances away to make it easier for ourselves. With our ambition to challenge in this division, three points is a really good start but a clean sheet is just as important.”
Recent recruits Maï Louvrier, Renai McCrea and Sangha all started and impressed during the opening fixture, whilst the defensive unit remaining from last season's promotion-winning side of Regan Graver, Carolin Engelhard, Lucy Potter and Phillips demonstrated why they were so hard to break down last term.
The win sees Brentford sit fourth in the table after the opening day. Dartford and Saltdean United both won their first fixture by five goals and so sit at the summit.
Newhaven were beaten heavily on the opening day, losing 7-2 to Dartford, who finished second last season.
Danielle Parfitt and Chloe Winchester scored for the Sussex-based side.
The Dockers, led by manager Andy Cook, finished eighth in the London and South East Premier division last season, amassing 24 points.
Across the campaign, they won seven games, drew three and lost 12, with Parfitt finishing as their top scorer on ten goals.
Entry to Sunday's game at Bedfont Sports Park is free, and no ticket is required to enter the stadium.
The club will have updates of the game against Newhaven on social media, as well as a match report and highlights on the club's official website and app.
