Brentford Women will welcome Leatherhead to Bedfont Sports Club on Sunday (3pm kick-off) as their league campaign gets underway.

Set for another season in London South East Division One North, the Bees will be eyeing a strong start to the campaign as they search for promotion come the end of the season.

Karleigh Osborne’s group have enjoyed a busy pre-season to date, competing strongly with multiple sides who compete in higher tiers of the football pyramid, including Dulwich Hamlet and London Seaward.

Last time out

The Bees impressed in a 5-3 win over London Seaward last time out to finish off their pre-season campaign.

Ashley Cheatley, Samantha Read, Lucy Bolitho, Chloe Logie and Rebekah Edwards each found the back of the net in the victory over the tier-four side.

Last time out against Leatherhead, the Bees were crowned Capital Cup champions with a 4-0 win over the Tanners towards the end of last season.

Logie got on the scoresheet with two goals, Maddie Phillips and Bolitho adding one each in an impressive display.

Leatherhead make the step up to the London South East Division One North following a league-winning campaign in Surrey Premier Division last season and subsequent promotion.

The Tanners went through last season undefeated in the league with 15 wins and one draw, their 65-goal differential the second best in the competition.

Megan Button led the way last season with 23 goals, Kacie-May Harlow also strong with 17 goals.
