Daizen Maeda starred as Celtic secured their place in the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals with a convincing 3-1 victory over Hibernian at Celtic Park.

The Japanese forward grabbed a first-half brace before Nicolas Kuhn completed the scoring in the second half.

The Hoops will now face Falkirk at home in the last eight of the competition, with the ties scheduled for the weekend of September 21/22.

This week's match takes the Celts on a trip to Paisley where they will face St Mirren in the SPFL.
