Whilst Olympique de Marseille’s current injury crisis currently concerns the club’s defence, there are also notable absences in midfield, and now in attack too, with Ismaïla Sarr (26) now set for a lengthy absence.

Players such as Jonathan Clauss, Amir Murillo and Bamo Méïté (out until the end of the season) are out for Sunday’s Le Classique, but there is hope that Leonardo Balerdi and Samuel Gigot could both be fit to face Les Parisiens. The former is more likely to feature than the latter. Jean Onana is out in midfield, whilst Pape Gueye is a doubt.

Sarr is the latest name to be added to the injury list at Marseille. The Senegalese international suffered the injury whilst on international duty. The former Watford winger felt pain in his hamstring during Senegal’s 3-0 victory over Gabon. An MRI scan has confirmed the hamstring injury and L’Équipe report that he is set for a minimum of three weeks on the sidelines.
