As initially reported by RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Olympique de Marseille are not closed to the possibility of selling Jonathan Rowe (22) this summer. Sacha Tavolieri has now revealed OM’s asking price.
Rowe had a mixed first season at Marseille, but nonetheless, he made 30 appearances for the club (three goals, four assists). He is also coming off the back of a strong showing with England at the Euro U21 championships.
However, the Englishman is far from untransferable at OM, amid interest from across Europe. There is notable interest from Turkey and specifically from Besiktas and Fenerbahçe. However, for now, the forward is not making a move to Turkey a priority, Tavolieri understands. Atalanta are also interested in the Englishman, whilst Premier League sides are also attentive to his situation.
Amid widespread interest, Les Phocéens have set their asking price. As per Tavolieri, the Ligue 1 giants have set a €20m valuation. None of the aforementioned Turkish suitors are prepared to meet that asking price.
