Olympique de Marseille are looking to strengthen their squad in January, however, they currently don’t have significant means to do so. The club are therefore looking to raise funds and Azzedine Ounahi (23), who only joined Les Phocéens from SCO Angers just under a year ago, is considered a bankable asset, amidst interest from Saudi Arabia, according to L’Équipe.

After an impressive World Cup with Morocco, expectations were high when Ounahi joined Marseille last January. However, due to injury and successive managerial changes, the midfielder has yet to impose himself at the Vélodrome.

Pape Gueye, Ismaïla Sarr and Vitinha also on transfer list

However, Ounahi remains highly rated in Saudi Arabia, who made an attempt to sign the OM midfielder in the summer. Contact over a move this January has already resumed.

Marseille would be open to selling Ounahi, as well as a raft of other players this January. Pape Gueye, who recently returned from a long-term suspension, Vitinha, Luis Enrique and Ismaïla Sarr could all be sold in January, in the event of reasonable offers arriving.
