Olympique de Marseille’s list of undesirables is looking a little more defined. As per a report from Foot Mercato, six first-team players will train with the Pro 2 side, away from the first team, upon their return for pre-season training.
The six players in question are Bamo Meïté, Azzedine Ounahi, Faris Moumbagna, Ruben Blanco, Simon Ngapandouetnbu, and Ismaël Koné. Meïté, Ounahi, and Koné spent either all or part of last season out on loan away from Marseille. Whilst all have now returned to their parent club, they are not expected to stay at the Commanderie, or that is the club’s desire, at least. Moumbagna, meanwhile, missed the vast majority of OM’s campaign with a serious knee injury.
However, whilst training with the Pro 2 side will allow the players to get up to speed in the pre-season, it is a clear sign that their futures lie elsewhere. The decision for the aforementioned players to train away from the first team has already been communicated individually to all players concerned.
