🚨Mark van Bommel named as the new head coach of PSV

Mark van Bommel will replace Phillip Cocu as the head coach of PSV Eindhoven, the Dutch club have announced.
The former Netherlands international has signed a three-year deal with the club he made 180 appearances for the club in two separate spells.
A statement on the club’s website read:
“The deal was done quickly”, said the club’s general manager Toon Gerbrands. “We knew we have successful people at the helm and we realised that Phillip would come to us one day to tell us that he would leave us. That’s why we started to look for an adequate replacement and began a new project with Mark two seasons ago We feel he is ready for the challenge.”
Van Bommel is with the Australian team in Russia at the moment as assistant coach of manager Bert van Marwijk and will take over duties after the country’s final game at the World Cup.
